Macaroni and Cheese

Macaroni and Cheese

Here’s how the process of turning some ingredients into one of the easiest and helpful dish in the world, the macaroni and cheese. I chose this because I like Kurt Cobain, and as far as I know, he used to love macaroni and cheese.

First, the ingredients must be prepared. Dried macaroni, cheese, salt, water, and some pepper. Adding some sauces like Bolognaise sauce, sour sauce, or even plain ketchup sauce is also common. It also needs some bowls, an oven, and a serving dish. Next step, the macaroni would be boiled in salt water. The boiling process will usually take 5 to 8 minutes. The salt in the water will preserve the macaroni’s tender and chewy characteristics. Boiling it in just plain water will diminish its natural tenderness.

After the boiling process is done, the macaroni will be placed in heat-resistant container like Pyrex dish. It is to make sure that the container wouldn’t melt when placed in the oven. It is also common to preheat the oven to 70 degree for several minutes during this phase. Next, the cheese will be grated and sprinkled on top of the macaroni. Usually the cheese will cover the entire surface of the macaroni. Sometimes the pepper will also be sprinkled.

The next step puts the macaroni in the oven. Here, it will be heated on the temperature of about 70 degree until all the cheese melts. After the cheese melts, the oven would be turned off, and the macaroni will be taken out. After being taken out, the next process is to add more sauce, or serve it if it was desired to be a plain macaroni and cheese.
